Choosing the Best Gold Yellow Watch

I write this piece as I contemplate on my favourite gold yellow watch. It amazes me how long and how hard this beloved timepiece has served me since it has been, what, 10 strange years since I first got it.

I love this watch, and I am not ashamed of that. But I myself need to look after it for it to stay gorgeous and functioning. So without further ado, here are a few simple but infinitely helpful gold yellow watch care tips to keep your ticking for years to come:

CAREFUL WEARING

The first and most obvious way to make a watch last longer is to watch out when wearing it. Carelessly flailing your arms around will certainly result in some scratches, and higher-grade gold yellow pieces are much more at the mercy of to damage than their lower-grade brethren.

SOFT-BRISTLE BRUSHING

Dirt and dirt will kill a watch over time, so make sure to brush the ins and bobs of your watch when you can. I will not stress how important this is, as accumulating body oil will turn into grease that can’t be so simply removed once it has settled in. You also need to polish the surfaces with a soft fabric to bring back its luster, but do this only after the watch is free from dirt and dust.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE

I wear my gold yellow watch most of the day, and it goes through a large amount of wear and tear even when I’m careful with it. I bring it to the watch-shop every year for a ‘general check-up.’ This definitely helps to make it last for years on end, and I recommend this to anyone that frequently wears similar timepieces.
