For Significantly Healthier Skin, Try the Acne Light

Acne is a skin condition that often begins at puberty and continues through the teen  years, but normally levels off in the early twenties. In some adults, there can be flare  ups of acne throughout life. Severe acne may cause scaring of the face and other affected  areas. There are many treatments for acne, but one of the newest is the use of the acne  light.

Acne lights do not involve the use of messy creams or ointments. They can be used while  students do homework or watch television.

The light produced by an acne light is at specific wavelengths in the spectrum of light that were chose to kill the bacteria that causes acne and speed healing of scar tissue. Specifically, the blue light helps to kill bacteria while the red is helpful in healing.

The user will need to apply the light for around half an hour each day. At this exposure level, you should not experience sunburn or any further damage to the skin. If you notice any irritation to the skin caused by the light, you should stop using it immediately.

Users of the acne light should not expect immediate results. It could take up to eight  weeks of daily use before there is a marked improvement.

You should choose larger lights if you have several areas that are affected by acne. Some  of the larger lights will cover more than one area at one time thus less time can be  spent using the light.

Acne can cause self-esteem issues for teens. It can affect their self-confidence and many  areas of life. If left untreated, acne can cause permanent scaring of the face that may  affect a person for his or her entire lifetime. If your child is struggling with acne,  then the acne light is worth the investment for clear and healthy skin.
