If a Shy, Inexperienced Does This. Does He Want a Relationship? Please, Please Help!?

There is a guy who I have known for 5 years. For the past 6 weeks we have been seeing each other. He is relatively inexperienced and in his late 20s. We haven't had sex, and he doesn't push. A real nice guy. Really caring. I know his friends and they all say how much he adores me and he is never likethis with any other girl. We both have told each other we like each other and we want to take things slow. But I find it really hard. The other day he was telling me a big secret and I didn't respond to the text for ages. By the time I went to my phone it was an hour later and he panicked b/c he thought I was upset. He sent me 5 texts saying 'r u ok'. Also one of my family members is really sick. He sends me text messages saying I hope ur ok, thinking of you etc. Do you think he is on the verge of wanting a relationship? He recently said to me his mom wanted to see me this weekend. He then said, i said u might be busy. (i did take a moment to reply) What does this mean? Does he want me to meet his mom? Did he hesitate b/c he didn't think i would say yes? He said his mom knows all about me and I have had some health issues in my family and he said she was thinking of me.

Suggestion:

yes he totally wants a relationship…if his mom knows all about you then he spent time in his day talking about how much he really likes you!! Also if he cares about your feelings like he says he does with his sweet txt messages then he just wants to make sure you are comfortable before you move into a relationship.
