The Ages of a Father and Son Add Up to 66. the Father's Age is the Son's Age Reversed. How Old Could They Be?

lets say son's age is = 10x + y,
then the father's age is reverse of son age = 10y + x

when the age's of both are added sum is 66
ie 11x + 11y = 66
ie x + y = 6

then the possible values of x and y can be
x y
1 5
2 4

but it cannot be x=3 and y=3 since father's age cannot be equal to son's age
so father age could be 51 or 42 and son's would be 15 or 24.

Suggestion:

Father is 42. Son is 24.

42 and 24

42 and 24

Fathers 42 yrs old and son is 24 yrs old

They can also be 15 and 51.

And also 33 and 33, if some newfangled science is involved.
