I love this timepiece, and I am not abashed of that. But I myself need to look after it in order for it to remain gorgeous and working. So without further ado, here are some easy but infinitely useful gold yellow watch care tips to keep your ticking for years to come:
CAREFUL WEARING
The first and most evident way to make a watch last longer is to watch out when wearing it. Carelessly flailing your arms around will certainly result in some scratches, and higher-grade gold yellow pieces are much more at the mercy of to break than their lower-grade brethren.
SOFT-BRISTLE BRUSHING
Dirt and grime will kill a watch over time, so make sure to sweep the details of your watch when you can. I cannot stress how important this is, as amassing body oil will become grease that can’t be so easily removed once it has settled in. You also need to polish the surfaces with a soft cloth to bring back its luster, but do this only after the watch is free from grime and mud.
REGULAR MAINTENANCE
I wear my gold yellow watch most of the day, and it goes through a large amount of wear and tear even if I am careful with it. I bring it to the watch-shop yearly for a ‘general check-up.’ This definitely helps to make it last for years on end, and I recommend this to anyone who regularly wears similar timepieces.
