What Eye Problems Can Result from Years of Albuterol Nebulizer Mist in Childs Eyes?

From age 3 to age 7, my 20 year old daugher had albuterol/proventil nebulizer treatments 2x a day every day for 4-5 years (she continued treatments after that as needed). No one told us then, to keep her eyes closed during the treatment, so the mist went into her eyes. By age 8 she needed glasses (her father had 20/20, I needed glasses at age 22). Now she is having blurred vision in one eye that cant be corrected by the eye doctor. What are some of the eye problems that have been reported with this situation? Thanks!

Suggestion:

I would worry more about the steroids she probably took than the albuterol. Steroids can cause refractive changes and cataracts. Albuterol would cause temporary irritation and dilated pupils.
